Biography

Since January 2020, Arthur Maurer has been working as Senior Advisor Public Affairs at the House of the Dutch Provinces in Brussels. Together with colleague Rick Maijer, he represents the interests of the province of Limburg. In addition to maintaining the relations of the province of Limburg with the EU institutions, he is also the provincial point of contact for contacts with Belgium.

Arthur also has the priorities climate & energy, digitalisation, circular economy and mobility in his portfolio and has a supporting role at the Committee of the Regions. Arthur is involved in the Maastricht Working on Europe partnership (Province of Limburg, the University of Maastricht and the Municipality of Maastricht). The Province of Limburg is also a member of the European Chemicals Regions Network (ECRN).

Arthur holds a Master of Arts in Political Sciences from Malmö University and a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies from Maastricht University. During this studies, he also worked as a student assistant for the Social Historical Center for Limburg.
