Marinus Puyenbroek started his career in Communications and Journalism and over the years he developed himself into an expert on EU Public Affairs. In 1978 he began at the Dutch Press Agency (ANP) and after traveling in North and South America he worked from 1985 to 1994 for the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs of which more than four years at the Dutch Permanent Representation to the European Union. From 1994 to 2002 he was an independent consultant on EU affairs & Communication and worked three years for the DHL Global Coordination Centre as Communications and PA manager Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
As of 2002, Marinus was the EU representative and advisor for the province of Noord Brabant at the House of the Dutch Provinces (HNP) in Brussels.
From 2008 to 2015 he worked on behalf of the province at the Dutch Institute World Class Maintenance in Breda (NL) as Public Affairs and Communication manager. In 2015 he came back to the House of the Dutch Provinces as Senior Advisor EU Affairs for Noord Brabant.
Marinus has, among others, Mobility (Electric Vehicles, E-Charging & -Roaming), EU Programs (Cohesion policy, Horizon), Innovation (battery technology) in his portfolio. He liaises with the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) and is HNP member of the Cohesion policy working group.
